Standing Out From Pre-Configured Systems

Unlike tracking systems designed by some other companies, the Waste Watcher System is designed to be implemented on a per customer basis. We take the time to discuss your facilities particular needs and help you decide on the modules and implementation of our system that best suite your particular situation. It is important to realize that while one facility may have need of certain aspects of our tracking system, not every facility will have the same requirements. In fact, some facilities will generate unique types of waste that have to be handled specially. While other facilities may be small enough that they are not concerned with billing back to departments.

These differences in our tracking system can result in higher or lower manpower needed to track your waste and it is important that the system be tailored to your particular environment in order to achieve the highest level of protection and cost-effectiveness.

The Waste Watcher system comes with a wide selection of preconfigured "turn key" configurations that can be modified to your case or a whole new system module can be developed specifically for you. Current modules in place include infectious waste tracking and reporting designed to allow for a reduction in expensive "red bag" waste by showing historic volumes and helping to identify inappropriate high volume producers. A Key Value Indicator system that works in conjunction with data from a census or bed-tracking system to show waste volumes (infectious and/or solid) with reference to patient days or procedures. A radiation aging and storage module that simplifies the handling of radioactive waste that must be held until no longer detectable. A Noncompliance and Violation Event Handling Module that tracks customer defined events (commonly items like Red Bag in a Clear Bag, Sharps Protruding from Box, etc.) and immediately notifies staff to expedite the event handling process and provides a centralized means of reporting on event histories. There is even a Waste Watcher Module designed for systems mounted on waste collection trucks allowing for on board weighing, manifesting and signature collection.

Due to the modularity and distributed design of the Waste Watcher, it is extremely scalable and is well suited to work in small facilities as well as large scale processing facilities processing waste from many hospitals.
